We are living in a changing world and with articles about famous people’s credit reports being hacked, It is possible that more of us have the chance of being hacked or identity stolen in the future.  With that in mind, I think it is timely to talk about what steps we as consumers can take to protect ourselves and our identity

It’s a new year and now is the time to make some great new year’s resolutions that will help your financial wellbeing.  Now is as good of time as any to start a savings plan, it doesn’t matter what the savings plan is, just that you are saving. 

2012 this is the year that things will finally get better, at least that is what “they” have been saying every year now, that the nation will start to see recovery next year, well it is finally next year and let’s hope for our sake that the nation starts recovering.  I’m of course being sarcastic about this, but now is a good time to take a look at your personal finances and get your financial house in order.  Some ideas might include depending on your situation and what you own.

I see the struggles that families are having with aging parents and their long term care and well being.  It is a tough decision to have a parent in a nursing home, assisted living, or have at home health care.  The emotional cost is draining not to mention the potential financial cost that will ensue no matter what you choose. 

Today during our Monday morning officers meeting we were talking about technology and how we should be handling different technology.  The technology in question is ATM’s, I’m sure many people reading this will remember when ATM’s first came out and where you made your first ATM transaction, and how there were no surcharges at first.
